Ahh it's a running joke for those who have seen the castle communications video "Express Steam Locomotives of the London Midland & Scottish Railway, there are at least 5 black 5's on there and peter woods the narrator describes each oneby saying, 4, 48, 71 (44871) and 4, 47, 67 (44767) and , 4, 54, 07 (45407) you get the idea! :D

Nope, it's a different one that Castle Communications made a few years later.

well then, can i first congratulate you on at fantastic layout & i think i'm very jealous of your locos. Secondly, can i congratulate your club on a brilliant layout, i've never actually seen it but i really enjoyed the HORNBY MAGAZINE article on it. i will be seeing it at BRM Peterbrough 'Natioanl Festival of Modelling' and i look forward to it.

Been making some progress on Wenchford over the last couple of days, the terminus station has had the platforms "bricked" and "tarmac'd" and the track has been ballasted, lights have been installed in the locomotive depot, and a church, 2 pairs of cottages and a road with bushes and trees etc has been put in too. Plus there are 2 new locos 9600 and 42085. Photos;
