There's also a few errors in the discriptions of things, such as "rail gauge" instead of "rail code"

A very promising site though, keep up the good work.

In the section on wiring a point motor with a SPDT switch, there is a way to do it without a push to make switch, I can post a diagram if anyone is interested :?:

think your being a bit condescending myself.....The site is for beginners  ...or did you get confused with that part

Forum - excellent.

The rest of it - wouldn't class myself as a beginner as such (more a returnee) so have only gone through some of it. Could do with a spellcheck here and there :)

" I'll give it foive " - anyone old enough to remember TOTP in the 60's will remember this !!
There are many excellent articles on this site - Pete's recent article on trees made me green with envy - Southern Railway malachite green, of course. For an ancient relic returning to the hobby after 40+ years the information is invaluable.
Well done SASLord, and of course the contributors.

patience my friend - you have had a few replys to your personal layout thread and that was without a track plan. I'm sure people will comment once they have seen it - we are a friendly bunch really

Very helpful and informative, just wish there wasnt so many ideas around because i just have to change my layout virtually every day thanks to you guys, oh well it will get done eventually, lol.

Unfortunatly thisis my first layout so my offerings on advice are next to nil which i think is zilch, but once my layout is down i will be after advice.

Keep up the good work on the site saslord, and everybody else that contributes to it.

best site for BEGINNERS starting a NEW layout!

I like the friendly 'Cander' and the fact that there are so many diferent variants on one theme (ie layouts and scenery) this is what makes it a great site to inspire you to try things you would normally 'bypass'.

As for people coming in stating they 'already know some of this stuff' - GREAT! - share your experiences - DONT get all high n mighty about it! - after all its is a BEGINNERS site!

If school teachers said they already know everything - how would the students learn?
