Indeed, I hate Metropolitan Coaches....
But not so much now, it does help being in a team to do things to combine the research and design work, spread the load, which meant I could concentrate more on getting them right. I never really give up on things, I may put them to the side for a while, until an opportunity arises like it did with these, and I was very fortunate that it did or I wouldn't have these.
I have done some work on the GN Saloon to resolve some issues but won't get round to that for some time.
Mean while, I have a composite Metropolitan coach ready to print which will be done in May.

Now the sun seems to be back for a while, the layout was opened up again for running, a small video from a few weekends ago showing various new stock, and new and newish models, Hopefully will have a bigger video sometime next week with some visiting locos.

There will also be a work bench update on the main kit building workbench, progress on the Q Class which is approaching the painting stages.
Update due tonight:

Over the past few weeks, I have added another video to Youtube based on the 2006 Giants of Steam weekend:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mx0T_X4xEI

While the weather has been reasonable I have tried to get as much videos done as possible, as this could be the last year I will run the layout, which hopefully will then be rebuilt and improved in all areas.
Rolling stock is progressing the 3 Metropolitan Railway carriages are running with the 4th still to Print. The coaches are proving popular and will be doing a few talks in the next few weeks, first one in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, 11th June.

So after a year and a half, finally all of the 3D printed coaches are complete, apart from adding a few people which can be done later on.
The 3D printed Metropolitan Set have taken a year and a half to complete.... hopefully will run for the first time as a full set this weekend, at the Wycombe Model club's open day...
Also the GN saloon is now complete and running reliably.

This will most likely be the last year for the layout, which will be stripped and rebuilt to a better standard, and hopefully bigger :)

The E4 looks very good - it fits in really well - I suppose it should with the real thing being at the Bluebell!

Hi Matthew

Just popped in for a once in a blue moon visit...and it's lovely to see the old layout still going...but my oh my, those Metro coaches...now they are a thing (or I suppose 'are things') of utter splendour, as is that cracking E4 8)

So you're planning on bigger and better, eh? Always knew you were a brave lad

Cheers

Tim

Thanks Tim, yes plenty more loco's and stock coming in the future got plenty on the bench at the moment although haven't posted anything here, as there doesn't seem to be much interest so I post it else where. At the moment I'm after an M7 to convert in to something else for the Metropolitan stock

Seeing as the weather has been good the layout is being worked on to bring it back to life.

Matt; if your doing what I think you're doing with the M7 I definitely want to see that!

At the moment, it won't be going ahead, as there are no donors at the moment, or at a reasonable price, sadly when you are looking for something they are never around or available, can always dream.

Another kit finally finished after purchasing it half built off eBay with no instructions and a number of issues, after 2 years it's now pretty much complete.

I have now managed to get all the spares to repair my M7 chassis so next project is now underway, and It's not a Bluebell project.
