yes, when I eventually get round to it I plan to use everything, I'd never really built many kits before so building a bunch was a great learning curve

been a while since I've posted on this forum, so here are some bits that I've been up to in the past week, been working to improve my airbrushing and painting skills, all comments and thoughts welcome

I was originally going to paint these coaches BR maroon, but I happened across a thread with techniques on how to paint "teak" and after giving it a go I was really pleased with my results

Ooh, very nice! That 4MT is particularly stunning. Nice work with the teak effect too, a technique I have yet to attempt, but would like to accomplish (not that I have any particular need to, but that's not the point). Keep it coming!

Great weathering, the BR standard tank is exactly as I remember them, well done.

Your weathering is top notch! All your effort has definitely paid off. Im also really impressed by your teak paintwork. Did you have a link to the method for how to paint it?
Cheers,

I rather liked your Teak, too. I did mine with Citadel Seraphim Sepia [silly name!], what did you use?

That three quarter side view of the 2-6-4T is great. It's only the bench and trellis in the background saying it's a model, but what scale it is, who knows? It could be any scale up into the model engineering sizes and with the right background you'd be pushed to tell it from the real thing. Great job.

It is H0.

Actually, if one wants to run continental stuff alongside 00, have you tried H0e? You could have a little preserved line in H0e alongside your 00, and Roco and Liliput H0e locos are amazing in their detail. Mixing the two looks very plausable. I had a few H0e locos and rolling stock but I gave them away when I went into 0-16.5 instead. The bogie coaches guards compartment had sliding doors.

it's Roco and maybe a little aha, they do seem to be excellent models though! may have to invest in a few more

thank you, that was originally an experiment weathering wise on that loco, wasn't sure if it'd work but everyone seems to think it turned out great! (luckily as the std 4mt 2-6-4 is a personal favourite)

I've had a look and thought about it, not really any space on my layout as it will be an industrial city scene, one of my friends has been working on 009 stuff and I've been helping out with that, 3D printed him some locos and rolling stock, and he uses h0e chassis to mount them
