Hi Glyn,

No problem at all just happy to help out, look forward to seeing some photo's.

I knew we would figure it out, some times you just can't see the wood because of all the trees.

Trying out the same design but using brick effect paper, if anyone fancied this station "Daisy" but didn't want the stone version well you may have something soon.

Keep having fun everybody.

I'd like a brick station as well as the stone.
I will be sending photos, my wife has the camera and is in the UK at the moment - which is why I can have bits of cardboard all over the kitchen table.
I live in a cottage. If I sent photos of that, would you be able to make the kit for one?
Best wishes

Hi Glyn,

I'm always up for a challenge but can't promise anything, so if you email me your pictures I'll assess to see if it's within my capabillities. Might be able to make an artistic impression rather than a true copy ?

Mean while I've just finished my first sketch with the brick paper effect for the new Station "Maisy", thinking about a platform clock to include with this version, another crazy idea I just can't shake at present.

So here is roughly how she will look.

Image

Exactly the same as Daisy but brick built, changed the windows & door colours as I didn't want an exact duplicate ?

Any feed back before I get too deep in the wrong direction.

Catch you all later,

Mike.

For my cottage, yes I think an artistic interpretation would be superb.
Love the new station. Go for the clock.
What about different colours for the awnings?
I''ll send some photos of my house later.
Best wishes

Hi Boys & Girls,

Well the "Maisy" Station near's completion, this verison will include the roof clock option, plus one platform clock & last will be a choice in colour for the canopies, there will be a Teal Green / White, Apple Green / White, Sage Green / White, Purple / White, Lilac / White.

This means another page or two adding to the basic kit but at least you will all get a choice.

Watch this space when I will annouce the kits release.

What a busy bee I've been......

Hi Kiddies,

It's here by popular demand a small country station made using a brick style paper, also as promised you can choose what colour canopy to use from 4 different colours within the kit. The kit has platform clocks & an optional roof mounted clock, the choice is all yours.

I hope you enjoy & have fun with this latest offering.

Hello Mike,

I've just realised its been a while since I've commented on here (or your layout thread for that matter  ) and I think I'm going to have a little play around with your shed/garage kits to see how far I might be able to push them ;) a bit like the Tudor house, but more intense :P

I'll post you some iamges when I get it done :)

Made the station, looks wonderful. Will post a photo when the camera gets home!
Can't see the new station with clock etc yet...or is my eyesight playing up.
Its rainy here in France today, so before and after Le Tour I think I shall make a house.
I do think your models are wonderful. They stand their own against a Metcalfe.
Best wishes

Hi Mike

Just wanted to say thanks for all the fantastic kits you have made available, i'm in the process of making a layout for my son (and me) and your kits have really made it come to life, my wife enjoys making them so its also bringing the whole family in on the action.

If you were looking for inspiration I wonder if you could possibly come up with an engine shed to go with the collection and possibly a footbridge and platform sections.

Once again thanks and please keep up the good work

I would completely echo the above post, except my excuse is I'm making it for the grandsons! My wife doesn't get involved either!
I echo the support for platforms.
Thank you Mike for the kits - if you never uploaded another we have enough to go on with for our layouts.
Best wishes

I'm going to tell you something. I've just finished making my fourth building, the Tudor house. It looks superb.
a) because of the upload from Mike
b) because I've practised, I know the pitfalls. How to be careful. And I avoid silly mistakes.
I shall be remaking the country station, cus it looks a mess.
Thanks again Mike.

Hi Kids,

Some interesting ideas for possible kits, maybe start with the easiest request which would be the platform sections, I would want to keep them very easy to construct so options regards designs are limited, & I would want them to be built using the same method as the other kits so we might be talking a very simple box design,by this I mean the platform edge next to the rails would not over hang the walls they would just finish & then the platform walls would bend down at 90 degrees.

There are loads of variables when it comes to platform widths etc, the ones on Wordsworth are all custom made for the area they are sat on, so if maybe I use the Hornby plastic platform as a template say for height & width that might be a good start.

First issue is I don't own any of these so if some kind person would measure one for me & post the dimensions for the height in mm & the width in mm, not too bothered by the length but if you include it I then have it as an option.

Once I get these measurements I'll see what we can come up with, I'd make sure there is an add on piece for the station to sit on & steps leading down to the road / pavement.

As for the Engine shed, getting into harder kits unless you are not too interested in the internal space, by that I mean brick paper interior, all you would have is plan card & all the detail work is external. the bits you see. If this is the kind of structure (Which I have two on Wordsworth) then I should be able to knock something together.

Need some time to think about a platform footbridge. it might be possible without making it too difficult to construct, I've a few images floating about in my head.

Let me know if I'm on the right track & if the general ideas above are sounding about right.

Cheers.

Mike.
