With regard to concrete sleeper points..... I think usually they are wooden sleepers as on the prototype points are always made on site to suit the track layout, so you need lots of odd sized sleepers. The quickest and cheapest way to do this is still to saw a bit of wood to the right length! So that's why you cant buy points in concrete sleeper

Taking some inspiration from Andysmith's thread I decided to post my modern image stocklist.
The ownership of the Stock is not nessacerily what Livery it is in as I designed this List for my freewebs site.

Thanks Peak! The Loco will need some coaches to match, I never thought of that when I bought it lol. The Royal mail ones will work with it although I don't think it was ever done with an NSE 50.
Should get the boards level today. Then the track laying can start!

Thanks for your comments. I don't think I've seen a Class 50 at all, would be good to see one.
Sorry for the lack of updates, the basebaords have been quite troublesome and I've had alot of other things on my mind lately. Now the boards are almost down, just need the removable section and the legs fitting. I hope to cut the track to length even before this is done and mark out the layout to give an idea.
More updates soon!

An update. Track for the sidings has been cut to length and test fitted. Seems to fit well. The inspection pits also have holes to fit into inside the shed.
view in the direction of the loco sidings. Spent a while straightening the track since this was taken.
A view in the other direction towards the rolling stock sidings.
A section of platform in place for spacing. Should make a long island platform with subway access.
Runaround loop at the rolling stock end.
And at the Loco end.
The Loco sidings again, showing the small shunter's siding. Not sure what length or shape to make it.
Rolling stock sidings close up.
Hopefully I'll site some industry here, oil refinery, coal depot or cement works are the ones I've thought of so far.
Last of all the inspection pits in the shed.
Cutting track proved a little harder than I thought, especially with all the gaps it left at joins which I'll ahve to find a way to fill with sleepers.
The inspection pits had the provided rails removed for a betetr connection. The join in the middle that you get using all of the kit to make a full length pit is unreliable if not soldered. Turned out ok doing what was suggested in the instructions and threading a piece of flexible tarck onto the pit and passing sleepers back onto the other end.
Also gave a close join to the sleepers.
More updates soon.
