HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA excellent.
I don't think i've ever seen such a long technical description of how to make a cuppa!

One thing to mention is, it takes 3 minutes of brewing to release the tea's natural anti-oxidents.
That's enough time to supplment your trip away from the rails with another great key modeller componant - the BISCUIT TIN! :D

I'm a coffee drinker myself, but shurley the best tea is brewed on a footplate with engine water? Easy if you do 12":1' guage, but how about 3 1/2" or 5", bet that would be a "special" cuppa!

But your all missing the best multipurpose component, set the scene, weekend planned as attic/shed time, partner primed with instructions, delivery set for 10am, hot steaming mug of coffee and toasted bacon and egg butty!
Not only highly satisfying for the tummy, but collateral damage is healthy for the layout! Squeeze tightly and, egg oozes out as binding agent for scatter, bacon grease dribbles and lubricates locos, toast crumbles and creates corn field flock! Yummmmmm :D

Another item I've found which helps with planning in particular can be obtained by adding yeast to either fruit juices or a malt extract/hops solution. Leave covered in a warm place until all activity has ceased, then transfer to bottles for a few months. Once it's finished, dispense the contents into a suitable glass and have it to hand while drawing up plans or otherwise short of inspiration.

*Process can be improved by distillation, the warning is still very apt!!

If short on time, you can also get it RTR, but the results are often inferior to a scratch or kit-buit version.

I prefer the deep red liquor, produced over 12 months from a small dark blue berry found in the countryside and a few bottles of Gin- hic :)

Haven't drunk tea since about 1970. Do people still say the daft things about it that adults used to say back then. "Oh, you've just got home and found your husband dead - never mind dear I'll make you a nice cup of tea" ?

In my experience not nearly as often. It was my parents generation who used tea for everything. One pair of in-laws couldn't start any activity without making and slowly consuming a pot of tea. They were always late for everything, as they never factored in the tea time. I remember one time when the action went something like this. I'll not say who's Mom and Dad they were.
Dad - Better get the car out to go to xxxx
Mom - I'll just make a cup of tea.
Half hour later Dad goes to garage, Get's out car and drives round to the front of house.
Dad (coming in through back door) - Car's ready
Mom - I'm just putting the kettle on.
Half an hour later they get in the car..........
I've noticed others among my own age group who drink neither tea nor coffee, some it's a reaction to their parents addiction, others just never drank them as a child and have never tried either.

Would it be safe to assume that in the interval between posts, you have made and consumed several cups of tea? :D

Just poured myself some railwayman's tea: the colour and taste of old brass.
