Sort of.

The Metcalfe buildings have done well. I am passing them on to a friend who builds dioramas.

Resin houses replacing the Metcalfe ones
The fencing between the houses is N gauge sleepers. I knew they would come in useful someday.

They definitely have the look of the work of a permanent way engineer, or even a local council maintenance man (If in doubt make it thicker, and all timber from the depot wood pile) when compared to the wrought iron "spears" of the front fence. The lever frame in one of my cabins is a section cut from a discarded plastic comb, it was tough work bending the three levers that are "off".The fencing between the houses is N gauge sleepers. An excellent use of something on the way to the bin.Bufferstop wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 12:46 pm . The lever frame in one of my cabins is a section cut from a discarded plastic comb, it was tough work bending the three levers that are "off".

New (to me) a public house awaiting a suitable name. Paving still to do.
New 'Main Street'. The path to the bus stop is higher than the path beside the shops. I took the idea from a scene in Forest Hall, Newcastle on Tyne.
A photograph from the archives. Out in the country.

For some reason, as soon as I looked at that pub, the name 'Pig and Whistle' popped into my head. Don't know why, maybe I just like that name.
The split level path on Main Street adds interest. I like it.

that last pic, the tracks in the wildlife is inspirational and amazingly atmospheric, speaks of a time now sadly long past
Re: Diesels at Crown Point and Sovereign St.
Thank you Phred. I used to see the split level path twice a week taking the grandchildren home from nursery. Something unusual to model.
Thank you, aleopardstail. The track leads into Charlie Marston's Yard and can be opened if he buys any more redundant locomotives. I doubt he will as there doesn't seem to be much 'moving out'.aleopardstail wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:50 pm that last pic, the tracks in the wildlife is inspirational and amazingly atmospheric, speaks of a time now sadly long past

No, dismantling.
