Hi manna,

Ratio kit No: 144, U.K prices around £4 with a pack making up about 240 - 320 mm
depending on how close your posts are placed.

Micheala,

No Modern developments - No Aldi, or Liddle stores here !! Perhaps a 'Home & Colonial'
What this tends to show is my reluctance to dismantle and start again ...... BUT I'm
running out of space.

Ahh TimberSurf we think alike, but you still have twice as many wagons as I do !!

What about this one?

And regarding space, St. Oval sidings, and make the fiddle area scenic?

Michaela, I'm stuck with the space I have, no wriggle room !!

Fencing into place
First a slight bend here and there, then mark exactly where the small plug
ends will (Should) fit.

Image

Propped in place, some imaginative weight to keep engaged on a slightly
uneven surface.
When done this is the plot for my fishermans cottage.

G'Day Gents

I bet he's still got some of those old Co-Op tin tokens, and they went out of use in the early 60's.

Great layout by the way. Love the railing.

At a hospital (since 2000) I was asked if I had my NHS number.
I knew it off by heart, the one I was issued with at birth - They all looked blank !!
It all goes to show the country's gone to the dogs in the last 75 years, or so.

Can't even do a weeks shopping with those two halfcrowns in my pocket.

A half-crown on the tone-arm was the nuclear option if you'd tried every other combination of coins to get a dodgy vinyl to play without skipping. These young kids who've never tried to do a session with just a pair of vinyl turntables can't call themselves DJs. You've earned your wings if the bassist's thumb on his jack plug has blown you off the stage.

Right, I now know for certain my sight is slipping. These were made without any glazing bar jig, or even
drawing underneath to judge where to stick. All too bright white so before I add the glue & glaze I think
a light was of a very weak pale grey is needed.

Image

Also gave the tin roofing a rusty wash, next will be some tar ? The drainpipe was 3/4 cut, bent and glued
to get around the corner. Something a little different.

Image

Then viewed from a place where only a (small) camera can get,

Image

I have to improve those rocky banks, but working upside down on a step-ladder is not the best way to paint
artistically.

I'm quite enjoying working on this layout again. It really does offer quite a lot of modelling scope in a space
of just 6' x 3'

Bufferstop, Half-a-crown on a pick-up arm would not only knacker you stylus, but wreck the gentle track undulations
on any Little Richard 45 !!

Lovely building, Dad 1. It looks great near the railing.

Put your half crown on the pick-up arm of a '78 windy-up' as you play 'Music, Music, Music' by Teresa Brewer.

G'Day Gents

Used to play 'Laughing Policeman' on my Grandma's record player, but we did'n't need a half crown to play it, but will admit to having to replace the needle now and again, as we slowly wore it out.........

Geoff, I said it was the nuclear option, some of the discs were ex jukebox, needed the big adaptor in the middle. They were clamped vertically whilst playing, lord knows how much pressure those cartridges were using. Never let any of my own stuff anywhere near them. We even had a lead weight with a hole through it to hold the warped ones down flat.
