Hi Gavin, many thanks for the J39 photo's with a decent rake of lovely coaches there and indeed thank you for sharing all the photo's What would you charge to come here and make my layout looking even half as good as yours

I am longing to get on with some scenics and buildings but am stuck with wiring the system bus and led's on the mimic panel. It seems to be taking forever.

Never mind I expect to start with the scenics around spring time so the environment in the loft should be much improved.

Where are you? My rates will have to factor in travel costs and commuting... (Although, frankly, it sounds a whole lot more fun than my thesis just now. Mind you, colonic irrigation sounds more fun than my thesis (have to be careful how you pronounce that, in this context) just now! ) Or maybe we could work out an exchange...the wiring on Starlingford is about as basic as it comes, and frankly isn't up to spec.

Will be looking forward to seeing your layout develop though, and if you have any questions...don't hesitate to ask someone who knows more about it than I do!

Great pictures Gavin. I didn't comment at the time about the Tornado photo( 2nd to last) but that's my favourite of yours to date. I like the composition and colours of the wagons and the Br Blue Great Western jobbie and of course the A1 but perversely what does it for me are the weeds to the right of the loco and the pile of crud.

The first one is my favourite (more composition opposed to the content I am steam person ) if those coaches weren't poking through at the bottom it would be a super absolutely amazing photo. but still its an absolutely amazing photo

The detail in this is amazing. I love the vegetable patches and the beekeeper! Did I also spot Silver Link going across a bridge at one point? It LOOKED like SIlver Link at least.

Also, there seems to be a lot of soldiers and tanks around. Is there a war on?

Close! It was Quicksilver rather than Silver Link. And as for the war... I must've been running the layout in its 1940s guise
