Another addition to my stable of steam locos, thanks to a special offer from the Shefield box shifters. Stanier Jubilee class "Hong Kong" from Bachmann. She runs superbly, and looks pretty good too.

Bachmanns new 3F joins the stable.

Given its quality and level of detail, it would seem Hornby might "take a bath" with their revamped 4Fs', unless they've done more than just update the loco chassis.

Added to my growing ex-LMS fleet recently,

A Hughes/Fowler "Crab"

and a Fowler Patriot "The Royal Leicestershire Regiment"

Also couldn't pass this up when I saw it for under £40 at my local Modelzone.

Sumware videos

Not new additions this time. Lately I've been using the layout as a backdrop for some attempts at stop-motion animation. Here are a couple of the more successful ones.

But his lorrie driver hits the telephone pole. Well someone had to say it. Cheers Geoff the second rendering was excellent. That looked just like my uncle's Vanguard.

While on a recent computer course I had to create a PowerPoint presentation. As part of it I re-edited some video clips and this was the result. Hope you like it.

Another newcomer to Sumware

Post by GeoFF03 »

As I was a little short of small ex-LNER locos I've recently picked up one of Hornbys J52s'. As it was DCC fitted, I had to remove the chip as it was causing eratic running on my DC layout. Happy to say it is now running smoothly with no more unexplained stops and starts.

Some new additions arrived this week.

I intend to use one of my V3s as their usual motive power.

And one I'd overlooked, Bachmann 56xx

New Thompson joins the stable

I've just taken delivery of one of Hornbys Thompson L1 class locos. Here's a photo and short video of it running with the recently aquired Thompson suburban stock.

Here's a couple of videos featuring some recent stock purchases, namely the up-dated B1 & V2 from Bachmann, plus one of the same makes Hall Class locos.
