A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

I hope you've had a great Christmas and have recovered enough to be able to handle the new years celebrations.

Perhaps when you've recovered from New years eve you might like to have a browse through my latest collection of images
which were taken at a 30742 Charters night shoot at Shackerstone station on the Battlefield line. We were there to remember an old
SLS rail tour which took place in January 1959 Commemorating the closure of passenger services on the Wye Valley Lines
from Monmouth to Ross on Wye and Chepstow. A pair of GWR Pannier tanks top and tail were used. one of which No 6412 was a survivor
from the original tour, The other being No 6439.

While taking these images we witnessed the Quadrantids Meteor shower. Some of the light trails can be seen on a few of my shots.

Hello again,
As usual I have added a gallery of Black and White images taken during this photo charter.

I would advise viewing these and all collections of images on my website in Full page Slideshow mode
When on the thumbnails page click on the slideshow link in the top righthand corner and then when in slideshow
click the crossed arrows to go to full screen. Move you curser off the page to clear the thumbnails etc.

Hi, I've added two BnW image galleries to my website for you to browse through.

No1 Having recently visited Shackerstone on the Battlefield line for the nightshoot photo charter I thought it might be nice to go back through my old collections taken along the line and convert a few images into black and white to create a gallery of shots taken over the years I've been visiting the line.

No 2 Now that Lineside passes are no more on the GCR. Well, apart from the select few individuals of which sadly, Im not one! I decided to put together a BnW collection of shots taken over the years in which I have held a pass ie, 2004-2018 This process might take quite a while to complete as I have hundreds of collections to go through to pick the images I think suitable to convert into BnW so bear with me. There are about 40 to start with but I will be adding more as time goes on.

As usual, I have posted a couple of image collections to my website of photos taken during a photographic charter on the GCR with GWR loco BRADLEY MANOR which was visiting from the SVR for the Winter gala. Unfortunately its taken me almost a week to prepare these shots as my Computer is getting a bit old and clunky and worst of all! For some unknown reason 4 BnW image collections just disappeared from my website forcing me to upload them all over again. Which has completely disorganised my RECENT ADDITIONS/UPDATES Page

Hi again,
Image collection from another photo charter on the GCR. This time involving TWO locos. 8f No48624 on minerals and Standard 5 No73156 on Maroons. Te day Started at Rabbit bridge with the 8f on its own for a couple of hours then it was down to Swithland sidings where the Std 5 joined for the rest of the day. Lots of passing shots at various locations along the line.

I updated my camera recently so any colour changes you see in the SVR collection can be attributed to that as I was using two cameras my Nikon D810 and D850 I'm still learning about the correct colour settings to use on the latter as Nikon have improved them on this model.

Having received a surprise and unexpected invitation to sit a PTS assessment and duly passing it at the GCR a few weeks ago. I now have access to photograph from the line side once more. My first visit back was for the Goods Galore Event last Sunday.
