My Merchant Navy is in a correct livery ;)

I would buy transfers for the cab sides but i prefer Can Pac to be a bit more unique :P

I'm sure none of the Merchant Navy class carried blue livery after rebuilding, but sure, find a picture to prove me wrong!

Ahh they aren't in service, and it has the wrong tender type! it's another time in preservation when the volonteer with the paintpot was colourblind! did 35005 ever carry that livery in rebuilt form when in service? and with the tender type the model has?

You never mentioned in service though ;)

No MN's carried it in service, her owner back in 1996 painted her in that livery, when she changed hands in 2000/2001 she was repainted to brunswick green. With regards to the tender used in the model, it appears to be the same type as the one shes carried in preservation. And by the looks of it in service aswell: http://jaspersrailphotographs.fotopic.n ... 05317.html

I myself think 35005 looked good in BR blue. 34027 looked good in Maroon also ;)

OMG! they put Taw Valley in Maroon! ew! some people!, yeah it matches the tender in service, but not the one in preservation, the one in preservation is much shorter wheelbase, it's the same with the "35028" model, it's of it in BR days, the tender type is different in preservation. if you want your 35005 to be accurate to the blue livery, then change the tender. :D

Think ill stick with the tender shes got :P

And yes she was painted in Maroon for Harry Potter. Apparently she was considered too modern looking for the film so they chose Olton Hall.

Here's a snap of her in maroon: http://timeaster.fotopic.net/p1005339.html

And heres a snap of her after the SVR tried to make her look a bit grimey to hide the maroon! http://railfoto.fotopic.net/p702122.html
