Pete's Layouts update April 2007
Hi
I've been out of circulation for a few weeks for various reasons, sorry not to reply to some of the questions above (Ben:- I'm not exactly sure as to the idea behind these wagons, I guess it was to allow some sorting en-route and coach stock was in short supply so probably a lot cheaper to convert a couple of long wheelbase box wagons. The parcel service was run in an effort to compete with road transport (as I understand it)).
I've posted some updates to my other projects:
Holstenwall
French HO

Hi
If anyone is interested I'm in the process of revamping my web pages. My N-gauge 1930s German layout has been condensed into a small gallery of picture, just to give a flavour.
here's the link:
Holstenberg Endbahnhof
(Some of the old pages are still about, but no index page is provided.)

Thank goodness - I can't take any more of this continental mumbo-jumbo.Pete wrote:Don't worry all, I'll be uploading some blue diesel pics later.
Glad to hear your giving the site a redesign! Do you have any plans for a page for the basic url? (ie. http://www.petesproject.co.uk/?)
