Yes, the GM500 is indeed similar to the switching on a PM1 but is far more reliable and of course offers two electrically separate sets of change-over contacts.
For a comparison "F" on a PM1 would be 1 or 4 on a GM500 with "D" & "E" being 2 & 3 with 1 or 5 & 6 with 4 on the GM500.

You can use the same 12v DC Regulated power supply to feed Dapol signals Red and Black wires plus panel indication LEDs and any building lighting etc so long as the power supply has sufficient current output - typical at 1.0Amp or more.
