I guess the issue is in trying to decide if one wants to keep or pass on certain things. For example, I have a book that I may sell as it is not my area of the country this book covers. It has milages and maps of the old LB&SCR as they were in 1901. Such things like this are difficult to know what to do with...
Have all sorts of various nostalgia etc... Things that look nice but dont do much on their own. Like an old dynometer car dial or the emergency chain for a coach... An early triangular sink for a train toilet dating back to the days of wooden coaches I think... Weird things!
