Hmm, sure I already posted this? :?

Anyway, 2 questions 'bout this.

How do you get the track to display as two black lines as opposed to orange sleepered?

How do I get rid off track labels?

Thanks

Dave

I have downloaded the EXE, but MS Explorer locks-up when I select the Tutorial. I signed in with the instructions given, and it accepted my e-mail address.

Has anyone else had these problems?

hi
now i come to think of it you say about registering.. i don't think you have the latest version as that does not need registration. may be worth getting that and seeing if that helps your problem

XtrkCAD will only read files in its *.xtr format.

Are there any plug-ins to convert other file formats to an *.xtm readable file.

I'm putting them on 2 main straights for track switching.

Also, whats is the standard distance between 2 tracks ?

for peco streamline the distance between parallel tracks is 50mm (centre to centre) or 2"

when you place a point all you have to do is put the mouse cursor near the point or track that you want to connect it to and it should stick there. Usually the narrow end is the "sticky" or active end. To change the active end (thus turning the point around) just hold the shift key while you click.
In your case place the point first and then run the tracks from it using the "modify or extend" tool

how do you create zones where track is not allowed to be layed and has to work around
i.e. there are metal pegs in the baseboard which the layout hangs from. obviously these will block anything from being created there.

you'll just have to draw boxes around them and avoid them manually.
