This Signature Left Intentionally Blank, but since I have written this and I intended to do it, this Signature is intentionally not blank. Paradox or What?

Not sure if this is any help but i have a EWS Bachmann class 08 which is dcc ready, its only run 1 metre forward then 1 metre backward then put on my display shelf. At this point in time im running dc so i dont have the need for dcc ready, was thinking could do a swap. :)

Thanks for the offer Shaun but i'll leave it thanks. I'll just hard wire it in to it.

Work on the layout has ground to a halt after doing some scenic stuff that needs to dry out. Plus i went out lastnight (13.6.12) to see Sebastian Bach (former lead singer of Skid Row) and over done it a bit.

I have started doing the detailing for the inside of the signal box. I will also be building the Ratio kit for the midland signal box and the detail for the inside as well soon as i get the kits for them!

Re: GCR in Scotland! Detailing Black 5 and Signal Box

Post by iankemp »

Work is slowly continuing behind the scenes, I have bought a midland style signal box and interior detailing which has been built. I have painted the exterior and i will at some point build the interior detailing.

Some more work has been done on the black 5. All is needed is a lick of paint now.

Unfortunately the work space has slowly been getting smaller and smaller so i spent over an hour putting stuff away that has not been used. (bad habit of leaving stuff out!) I have also painted the midland style fencing to which will be attached to the other that is on the layout!

Hopefully sometime this week i will be getting the next board attached and got ready as there is a bit that continues the down hill (up hill pending on how you look at it! lol) So that is needed marking out and cut. And then i can try and get the track work sorted out!

Well there has been a bit of a change to the plan! I have decided i am not going to do Loughborough GCR Station now but instead do Rothley as there is already buildings made up and to try and save me some time on getting the layout done a bit quicker. When the layout is done and when i get bored a bit, I may build a diorama of it instead. And if possible try and fit it on at a later date. The boards that has the embankment to the north of the station that i built up will be still used on the layout!

I got some really good bargains from Modelzone in Glasgow the other day! 2 Bridges for £39.99 for the pair and the stairs to the platform for £19.99. Great price saving to what they were being sold as! I am very happy and like i said it is saving me time building them from scratch as i planned!
