NKP779's Layout
always steered clear of card kits 'til now as you can't weather them as well as plastic ones
. I have just built the Metcalfe church and was pleasantly surprised!
(and at £7 thought it was a bargain?).
Will post pics of church and graveyard in the next couple of hours.
And it is in gray stone!

Not much progress to report,
I'm hunting for a better digital camera, so I can take some in-progress pictures. Might end up just digging out my old Minolta SLR.
I did start test fitting the track layout for the passenger terminal. Might be able to get something done there this weekend
Aaron,
From a very Great way to the Western.

In American A Large, usually stub ended (But not allways) City station is a Terminal. As in Grand Central Terminal or Cleveland's Central Union Terminal. Terminals especially if they are called "Union Terminal" or something like that were often shared between multiple railroads.
Don't know if it's the same in the UK ??
Some Large stations are called "Station" like Pennsylvania station in New York City.
A small local structure is usually called a station or a depot. A Depot in the US is generally station with both freight and passenger areas in the same building. Instead of "Goods Depots" we have a "freighthouse"

Sorry about the terrible pictures, I am looking around for a better digital camera,
Just a couple of kitchen table in-progress shots of the terminal station.
I'm building the terminal on a 12" X48" 1/4" plywood board, it will drop into a space on the benchwork when it's ready.
The platforms are built from strathmore matte board, They still need some adjustment to minimize the gaps, and the cut edges painted.
A Bachmann "Hall" with a pair of ancient Tri-ang coaches tries out the new platform

The same loco in front of prototype #2 of the homemade signal tower.
