I think that you should go with
scalescenes as for £3.99 you can get unlimited stations. You can even make them to the size you want. I will probably make mine thinner than the hornby ones if i ever buy them to save space

so instead of a little over £15 its £3.99!
three things;
i made mine to the shape and size i wanted
and
the scalescenes price does not factor in printer ink, glue, high quality printer paper or the price of card
and finally
they would turn to mush the first time it rained on tim's garden layout.

ps it would be really interesting to know how much these extras cost for each scalescene kit built. it would help people thinking of getting them to know how much the finished product costs to compare with metcalfe, superquick and all other methods.
