No Problem Pete,

We all miss sending replies from time to time. Thanks due though.

I've fitted couplings to the Slaters wagon and a small sponge brake to test
with the Kadees, works fine, ready for painting.
I've been so pleased that I'll be doing more in the near future.

More done on the Letov S-20 aircraft model.
Showing the National flag style insignia that was in use during 1925.
I've still to fix a large squadron insignia on the fuselage sides, but have
left that and the final painting to the very end as it was my 'handling'
location.



I'm now painting the Slaters wagon, a grey very similar to the plastic &
when done I will try to do the strapping black before adding decals.

Also still needing it's markings is the engineers gauging wagon - That has
me very curious because nobody seems to know how it was used. That
seems to include Paul Bartlett !! He took photos, but as to use ??????

I'm back trying to use up a lifetimes collection of aircraft models.
In-between modelling sessions I'm still running a couple of shunting layouts, it helps clear
the mind.

This is the raw material for a Czech A-11 reconnaissance aircraft from the mid 1920's. I'll
be using the 1925 scheme as on that S-20 from a few messages ago.



Doing these vacuum formed kits makes one remember all the 'almost lost' skills, I might have
to make a wagon or two to relax after this one is finished. As I was getting back into aircraft
I'd just invested in 20 '00' axle sets o no excuse for not moving the odd wagon kit.

Family down this week, for my 82nd birthday, Damn, I'm having to tidy the house !!

Never mind wagons though, I want to see a DH Rapide next, or an HP 42....

Hi Lysander,

Sorry I don't have one of them in my (excessive) collection. I do have loads of Soviet &
a few of them were used by the Czech's. One of the interesting things about the Czech's
is that they had a wonderful mix of their own indigenous designs, western WWII types
followed by Soviet ones. So you can have a Mosquito alongside an American B24 Liberator
along with a Soviet P2 (A sort of second class Mosquito).
The Liberator was a one off. It was from an RAF Coastal Command squadron manned by
Czechs and when the war was over they were given it, used for some repatriation transport.
It didn't last long as they had no real practical use for maintaining a single long distance patrol
bomber.
I'm quite enjoying making these, IF I do more I'm thinking about a) a P2 for a small project, or
an Argosy which would be a table filling beast.

Peterm - Thanks, I'm drifting back to these aircraft models as I'm getting past putting up multi
board layouts and rapidly running out of the will to access my lofts stock storage.

Hi Geoff

Getting back to doing some modelling and decided to look out my stock of kits that had been gathering dust.
Started the Parkside Dundas LNER 21T Twin Bolster Wagon to start with and got off to a good start, however I am puzzled by a couple of parts and hoped you may have built this kit and can help.
There are four, perhaps five small parts remaining in this sprue, two are stanchions, that I do know, the other 2 or 3 I don't know about, any ideas?

Hi Jim I have made one, about 8 years ago and with my memory ??????
I think those are stanchion support brackets that should probably go on the side somewhere ?
I'll get my legacy XP machine working and see if any of my build pictures show anything.
Sometimes they include a sprue that has more than use for the one kit.

I'm sort of off railways at the moment and working on a few of my Vacuum formed very old
aircraft stock. The wife went MAD when I said I fancied a new 3D printed one of the Czech
Republics first home designed fighter from 1920 - Only about £22 if my Cz Kc calculations
were somewhere near right 555 Kc's.

As I said before I think these must have had some other use. If I get the picture on there is a photo
of mine alongside a bogie bolster and it's on the sides of that you see protrusions like those unrequired
parts.



Some 6 years after building - still looking good, In fact it should be safe in one of my storage boxes.
