When I see those military types on the platform it triggers a memory of the smell of cigarette smoke on my father's army uniform. Funny how the brain works.

Yes. When I see certain road haulage vehicles 'I am transported back' to travelling the old A roads (pre motorway) to Liverpool.

Ahh, Another question.
How long is "Some time"
To my dismay mine extends to around 11 years.

Pleased to see you ashore again

Geoff T
3-4 years on some locomotives.

So many different hobbies that take time.
Plus challenges in life.

Last train of the night from Wetherby to Leeds LNWR Goods Yard.

Well I am not saying how many locos I have but the number must be greatly excessive if that is one of our unwritten rules. I don't think I have ever come across the rule before stating how many locos are too many. If we can come to a consensus on a number I will add it to my list of unwritten rule s for model railway enthusiasts :D
