Unique G scale track cleaner.
I know that it's pathetic and I wasn’t going to post it, but it should give some a laugh or you might even feel sorry for me. Anyway anyone who wants a cheap effective track cleaner can build it, and much better than this rough idea of mine.
You will need:
1 block of wood.
1 piece of Meccano or similar
2 sets of wheels
A couple of small nuts and bolts and 3 screws
1 50040 LGB track cleaner block (split into two)
You will notice one set of wheels is without a coupler this because I use it with my LGB based ‘snowplow’ loco to push it.
Addition weight can be added if needed.
I am now going to hide in a corner.

Scaleable too! Though for 00 scale may be two bogies rather than two axles, to give it more chance of following the curves.
Growing old, can't avoid it. Growing up, forget it!

What radius?
Cheers, Chris
P.S. Good cleaner. It works, right? C

It will absolutely work! I made a very similar one using 'Magic Erasers' (see below) for my layout and it cleans very effectively. And a little guillotine for slicing the Magic Erasers to the right width.Lancastrian wrote:
Well I am sure you won’t find another like it, but it does work.
