009 LAYOUT WITH THE LONGEST NAME EVER!
Move over Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch… here’s a Welsh OO9 exhibition layout called Cynllunrheilfforddenghreifftiolcymreigwrthymylharbwrgyda'renwhirafarygylchdaitharddangos. Translation: a Welsh model railway layout next to a harbour with the longest name on the exhibition circuit

They should only employ a German visitor to act as Modelleseisenbahnzugkontrolleurfahneschwingenundpfeifenknobenpunkthinundherschalber(in).
Translation: model railway multitasked operator. My German is a little rusty, so I cannot vouch for complete accuracy.

I do like calling it what it is ......
Although it doesn't sound half as interesting as in Welsh.
"Two Short Planks with a bit on the side" was my first layout
"St Oval" my regular garage layout is a Set-track oval.
It irritates purists.

As a child in the sixties, my family lived in Penarth for a year or so. It was the fashion at school (for a short time) for children to recite Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch to show how clever they were.
I can still rattle it off but it's hard to work it into a conversation.

I like your road crossing. Are you sure there is enough room for the wheel flanges?
