Great Central Railway- The Early Years of Preservation

I stumbled across this look into operations on the preserved GCR during the initial years. Those pioneering years are quite a contrast to the railway we can experience today: virtually derelict infrastructure leased from BR and operated under their supervision, an odd mix of rolling stock including some imports from Norway, and some interesting methods due to the lack of facilities for running round. Things have certainly changed!
