BR Diagram Books

Post by Richard08 »

A staggering resource if you are into making/buying something BR to an exact Diagram ('plans' to us mere mortals). And more - including a hand towel maintenance manual. Turns out they didn't just paint Newspapers on the side when BGs were moved to newspaper traffic - Guards compartment removed, long folding tables, one each side added. Or three smaller folding tables added. But still NCVs, or with the full tops code NCVDs. A gold mine of BR data : http://www.barrowmoremrg.co.uk/Prototype.html

How easily I could fall into one of the specially constructed vehicle files and only re-emerge years later!

Excellent find, should be 'pinned' somewhere for reference?

I fund myself ploughing through a lot of the books - one thing that sticks out is railcars, there were way more designs than I'd suspected. A couple of examples for the manufacturers to have a go at?

There's a silimlar AEC 3-car prototype too, very continental looking. And...

Battery powered, all the way back when.
