Peco SL 99 Y point

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help. Does anyone know is Peco's Y point, SL-99 is different to one called SL-99XX ?

SL-99 or SL-99XX is a 3 way not a Y. Presumably at some piint Peco had a computer system that required four digits / charcters hence the XX so largelky the same but Peco have constantly retooled their points with tighter clearances and smaller frogs. So if you are running current locos then the XX version may be too crude, in comaprison if you are running older locos with poor wheel standards then current Peco points could be promblematic.
