HO Building Kits

Post by mcnaugg »

I have a long length of raised track and I would like to cover the side with a cardboard or paper building kit. What I am looking for is a garage or shop that makes use of the arches under a bridge or viaduct often seen in London movies and if memory is correct "Coronation Street" Does anybody know if such a kit is available?
Regards

I don't know of any in H0 scale, but there are quite a few in 00 scale. Bachmann Scenecraft do some, No 44-287, and Superquick do some much cheaper blank ones, Superquick C8.

A quick search reveals that Faller do H0 ones but they are much more expensive, as arches vary in size the scale difference between H0 and 00 isn't relavent.

Wills do an occupied arch but it's not much more than the timber front with a door in it!

Have you had a look at the Wordsworth model building range from Mike on this forum?
Here's his site. http://www.wordsworthmodelrailway.co.uk/
You maybe able to reduced the size from OO to HO before you print.
Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

The one that is promising is the Super Quick C8as it seems to meet my requirements.
