Re: auto stopping at stations
I encountered this circuit but I don't know if it'll do what I want or if it'll do other things that I don't want, I'm good at mechanical engineering but hopeless at electronic engineering
Re: auto stopping at stations
Just a thought but would it be possible to isolate a section of track in front of the station and bridge the isolator with a resistor, would this slow the train down ? Then use the basic timed stop unit to halt the train.

I did conciser this, or rather a series of sections with resistors over the gap although a diode over the gap to drop the voltage by 0.7 volts per section but that will be a jerky stop and I'd prefer it to be smooth, and the more short sections there are the harder an override switch would beheda wrote:Just a thought but would it be possible to isolate a section of track in front of the station and bridge the isolator with a resistor, would this slow the train down ?
