Painting Metcalfe Signalbox steps etc

Have any questions or tips and advice on how to build those bits that don't come ready made.

Painting Metcalfe Signalbox steps etc

Post by 6C »

Will soon be starting on the Metcalfe 00 PO233 Signal Box for my LMR layout circa '59.

The kit is a reasonable approximation of what I need - apart from the green colour scheme for the steps, corners and window valances - which I think should be a Maroon for my period....

Will acrylic paint work on these parts, suitably primed and in thin coats ?

Could I suggest a light coat (or two?) of matt varnish to seal, followed by a light coat of white or grey primer then you r maroon top coat?

This Signature Left Intentionally Blank, but since I have written this and I intended to do it, this Signature is intentionally not blank. Paradox or What?
