Re: Bur what warrants the vast difference in price?
I cannot really answer your question, Lancastrian, but Lady G often buys items from the USA. Even after paying import duty the price is still cheaper than here.

There's no shortage of others offered at around a tenth of the price, so either it's "keeping my slot" price that no one is expected to buy, or it's typo that has got carried along. Perhaps he's related to the legendary Mr G.

May well be enough careless buyers out there prepared to fork over the money without a quick check of alternative vendors. A member of the family at one time traded in Star Wars figurines, and once accidentally put up a relatively ordinary item with a BIN of £455 instead of £45, when the average price realised for that piece was in £40 range. And it sold in minutes.

I've just taken a look at this link for toyscentral and would have to agree. DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!

Re: But what warrants the vast difference in price?
I get the feeling that this is yet another forwarding scam. You buy from them and they order it from a third party at a lesser price.
Those reporting receiving nothing is perhaps due to the item not being available through any supplier at the right price for them to make money from it.

Here's what Nominet UK could find out about the company.
I'd say they definitely don't want to be found.
