As a temporary measure that would work but with that many joints you will suffer voltage drop as you go round the circuit. You are best having wires connecting each board to the next one and just using rail joiners to line up the track. There are plenty of connectors you can buy cheap, if it's only two wires use audio plugs.

I was thinking of doing something like that if I only had the tracks aligning at the joint between boards rather than having insertable pieces of track, but based on this advice I think doing both is probably the way forward
