And so, on went the final roof section.
So, what did I find with my changes? Well:.....
The chamfered wall corners reduce the need for hiding the white card, but I did colour them in first with a pencil so little white should show.
Similarly, cutting the bottom of the roof with an angle also hides the card edges well
The structure seems sound, the walls are generally straight, although when I was gluing on the roof I forgot to check that the wall corners were at right angles so the building is a slight parallelogram rather than a rectangle but, like forgetting to colour the roof underside in arkwrights shop, that's another gotcha to remember in future.'
Next up will be the chimneys. I got Arkwrights reasonably well done on the second attempt so I must have a similar go here and then do the capping/flashing.
The bottom line is - thanks Mike for putting these up here for us to use, while kit bashing was never high on my list of things to do, I find I am enjoying this now.

(Quick Edit) - I forgot to mention that I used Pritt Stick glue for gluing together the layers of Calendars and also the printouts to the card as Mike does and I used the Rocket Card glue for the joints/everything else as it gives that momentary bit of time to adjust and then sets quickly. I decanted some of the glue into one of those little Metcalfe glue bottles that use pins as stoppers - you can see it hiding in the top right hand corner of the final roof section photo above. With the joints, say like where the roof meets the gable wall, once I start the glue coming out as I draw the bottle along the joint it comes out as a nice bead without too much pressure on the bottle. Those little bottles were a godsend here.
