Hi,

Not a huge update but one that took all day to get to this point. The first new control panel is now complete and just needs all points and signals plumed in:

Just got the other side to do now.

All point motors are now operational on this side of the layout so can carry on with scenics now without feeling guilty.

Yet another update. Been playing with my platforms. Also had the track up on the branch line due to the magnets not being correct post ballasting. That took up most of my day.

Love the fact that any mistakes or gaps can be filled with what is the required effect of an old unkept platform.

Well done Lamby. It's all looking very good.

I've just had a most enjoyable time catching up with your progress. I love how that overall roof is looking and the greenery on the platform.

Just caught this thread and spent a very pleasant time going through it . I remember the original track plan from the 3rd edition Hornby track plans book, and it featuring very heavily in the 1975 catalogue . But it’s great to see what you have done with it . Are you thinking about another overall roof for the branch platform. A double barrel roof would be very impressive . Great stuff

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words.

The plan is for the canopy to go over to the other platform, just need to get another pack ordered. I then have to figure out the painting of it, more the colour scheme than anything else.
