Has any one any idea where I can get some G scale fence posts please, I only want the post not fences.

Depends what scale your after!
If it were 1:22.5, then 6in post would be approx 6mm, I would look at hobby shop wood supplies or possibly DIY store wood beading, but probably the best option may be lollipop sticks (think candy floss) from china
