I think there is somewhere the uneditted version of that chase which includes some of the car driver's comments and at one point a shot of the Speedo. Best left without credits. I didn't know mini Speedos went up that far!

Just finished watching it. What a ride. What a splendid piece of history, and a superb narrative that went beyond the statistics of it all. Moreover, the soft, rolling hills of the Settle Carlisle route was just beautiful to look at. The stone walls looks so old and so permanent, they appear to have grown from the very soil. Also gave me some ideas for putting in some gentle hills on "Henley."
