Hi all form a weary ron,Just when you thought it was safe to go in the loft what happens ,chaos??? but not as you know it.Having nearly exhausted the Bulleid fleet in its entirety the Hornby schools class offered itself up for increasing its size. That is other than 34085 spam-can which is being converted from 34081.As is probably known the schools class is primarily DCC which is alien to my layout but I still run loco,s with it fitted but not working. For some unknown reason 3 of them decided to be none runners and i believe the fault lay in the printed circuit boards,so curtesy of Ron Lines and one Hatton I decided to repair them .Surprising how spares mount up ??? It has ended up with the original loco,s;30908/10/15/19 and 32 being joined by 05/07/14/20 and36 .All liveried as May 1958.I,ve still ended up with some spares but not as many as I would have.Tonbridge is on the layout but I,m just waiting on name and shed plates from Jim at Modelmaster and they will all be up and running. The DJH 4-4-0 31507 and a minor makeover and is also back in circulation. Why weary?? 1 o,clock Monday morning our ailing daughter was rushed into `brighton hospital and thankfully good medics and prayers are keeping her going.Septisemia and 2 broken ribs(bones are brittle due to the enormous amount of medication she takes)are part of the problem but hopefully she will pull through.Anyway happy modelling all All the best Ron

I also hope things continue to improve.

So what seemed to have failed on the PCBs ?

Hi Geoff and thanks for the good wishes for our Trudi I do not fully understand the modern methods (PCB,s etc) but to make things better I removed the boards in the tender and the loco joining the correct wires together on the correct side of the motor polarity and bingo. The other 2 (30914/20) were straight changes from 30934 and 30915 as in both cases the tender totems were the same .30905 was a bitsa in all senses but they all travel well. All the best Ron
