Re: Railway Quiz, c'mon post a question.
I am Thomas Bouch's last bridge. Although I was supposed to be straight, when completed I was found to have a distinct curve. After a day and a half of testing using dead and rolling loads I became seriously distorted and eight of my piers were declared unsafe. I was demolished and replaced without ever being used. Where am I?

Well, that one didn't last long, did it? Yes, it is the South Esk Viaduct from Montrose to Rossie Island.
Next question please?

A nice easy one -- perhaps.
Looking at my trusty Bradshaw's July 1922 Railway Guide again ----
Looking at the name of this railway company it wasn't in the north nor the south. Nor was it in the east or west. It was a large railway company though because its trains headed north and south, east and west.
What was its name?

Another good guess, but not quite correct.
This railway company was around prior to the Grouping in 1923. There is a heritage railway of the same name today.
