This is my first post on this section of the forum.
Whilst waiting for Mrs. D. to do some shopping in Blackpool, I took a couple of snaps of the semaphore signals
on Blackpool North terminus station. Not the best quality as I only have an Olympus in the glove box but better than nothing I suppose.
I am not sure if these semaphores are due to be replaced or when, so thought I would snap them while I could.
Jim.

This Signature Left Intentionally Blank, but since I have written this and I intended to do it, this Signature is intentionally not blank. Paradox or What?

Re: Semaphore Signals at Blackpool North
Nice close shots Jim, showing plenty of detail, taken from the platform I presume.
Modellers worrying about track being perfect should take note of the real thing, never perfect.
Looks like the north box is on it's last legs, probably near the end of it's life also!
I'm ancient enough to remember the steam shed, complete with turntable at this station, though I must add
steam had been gone for a couple of years. The extensive carriage sidings, needed for the many excursions
were empty and overgrown, a sad sight.

Great pic's, look at the state of the platform edging too... there's hope for me yet.

Yes Pete we shouldn't go for perfection when modelling, it didn't exist in real life anyway!

Don't overdo it though, that pic is very foreshortened and it's hardly a high speed alignment. There's about 500 yards between the photographer and the 142.
