I want to separate the two middle coaches of my Hornby Eurostar so I can fit them in a sensible size box for shipping. I've tried, but not very hard for fear of breaking something, and can't figure out how they come apart.
Can anyone enlighten me please?

Both coaches clip onto a central pivot which is mounted on the centre bogie/Corridor section. The only way to separate them is to pull them apart. When I had one, I held the bogie/corridor connection to one coach and pulled the other off. It does take a little force though.

Are they the type that you push in on the underside ,I can only imagine you have to gently prise them apart ,cant say for sure as I haven't got anything in my collection with that type of coupling,I have got a Brighton belle which use a short bar type coupling which also connects the lights to each carriage and that is scary trying to uncouple them ,to the extent I've only run it once ,scary **** !,,,,,mjb

Thanks. I suspected I simply needed more force, but I didn't want to apply it without some confirmation

Done it! My word, it did need more force that I thought the plastic would withstand. But all is well thank you
