Some one going to expierience an English winter sounds pretty mad to me
What no snow man in the pictures
Have to go and clear off layout again over crowded with trains again.
I am sure they are multiplying on the shelf when I am not looking

Hi all
On call so have not achieved much.
But have started scenicing around Holt not much but its something at least.
Must find where I put the squirrel so it can go under the tree

Have also got a small book case under the same end of layout.
This has the over flow of rolling stock on the top shelf and some of the construction stuff on the bottom shelf.

Well this project has been going a couple of years now.
So I though a bit of a look at the past was warranted to see how far things have come.

To this one taken today,
We now have green and scenery from one side of the board to the other,
scenically at a guess about half done for the basic stuff.

Still a long way to go not bad entertainment value for such a small railway lots of little bits still to add.
Speaking of which any suggestions for a tourist taking a picture of the standing stone who would be 1950's or 1960's
period.

Buzz, In regards to a tourist taking a photo of the rock,what about having a tourist type coach (Bedford or Aec) bus of the era and several tourists taking photo's of themselves around the rock
and maybe even some walking back to the coach with an awaiting driver near the door.

Hi All
Will be off line for a while not sure how often will be able to use girl friends lap top
my computer has had a hissy fit and won't work.

Looks like idea one will have to be checked out and idea two is out.
There is not enough room to make the pin hole to sit the squirrel on top of the standing stone.
Remember the standing stone was origonaly done for fantasy toy soldiers not model railways.

Well my computer is still dead so still on the occasional use of girl friends computer.
As far as the layout goes no new works yet but I have got a Hornby BR Ex SR push pull coach set nice model,
and about as big a passenger train as a small layout like mine will take.
Apparently Bachmann are to be bringing out bird cage coach sets I am wondering if the brake coach might be the more appropriate,
for a line that claims to be a light railway.
The push pull nice though it is, is far to heavy rail looking and a tiny bit to long for the line when its in use.
I really need to get it back to what it is a light railway.
and suitable light railway stock is a bit hard to find.

I think you've fallen into the trap of buying with your eyes and not with your head - a common pitfall in this hobby! I did the same with Essellty.

You need to step back from the layout and be brutal as to what stays and what must go.

With Essellty I sold more than I bought and currently have two diesel locos for sale on a well-known auction site for I strayed from my 'Railcar only' theme and at exhibitions I found that working with three railcars (all with some East Anglian provenance) works well for me and is easily manageable particularly during the busy times.

For your branch line passenger stock, why not look at the Ratio GWR 4wh coach kits:

Otherwise your existing bogie coach is just ideal.

Defiantly guilty as charged
At least I can put it away for the grand project that the track plan keeps changing as I try to get it so it works and is not over complicated.
I actually have the older axle through axle box version of the balcony coach in good condition as well.
Some how I don't quite seem to get to putting in bearings and modern wheels so I can use it.

Back on line again have new tower with windows 7.
None of the previously used programs work mutter mutter.
Once I have sorted out why that is and what to do to sort it, it will be back to normal posting.

Hi all
Well no matter what I do I can't get NRM to let me attach the picture.
But I had a friend of mine Stretch come to stay for a week and using the Peco double track hump bridge as a template.
We cut out a set of bridge sides in 4mm MDF also a set of road supports for a concrete hump bridge.
This still needs a bit of shaping in one of the arches.
The arch lining will be corn flakes packet card the road 2.5 mm MDF all painted different greys to emphasize shape.
Any one got any idea what height at a time would be formed up.
so I can use a grey colour pencil to mark the forming lines in.
I assume it would have been form pour form pour and no pre stressing or other fancy stuff for this kind of bridge.

Hi guys
Well its time to close this thread for good.
No matter what I do it won't let me attach pictures.
And I have had enough of wasting time trying to get the photo's up.
Regrettably this is not the first time I have had this problem but its going to be the last time.
So its back to layout building and not bothering with the computer.
So to every one who has helped me get this far my many and grateful thanks.
I enjoyed the privilege of being able to share my layout with you all.
