00 scale lorries
Re: 00 scale lorries
Hi all
I have yet to upgrade the chassis on these but when I do, I'll take piccies. The big and quick fix is to pull the wheels out so that they are in the right place.
The RM tractors now have drivers, windows and a spot of weathering. I have re-positioned the windbreaker on the Cargo. I didn't realise I had run out of Roadtrain mirrors though!
Also OMWB as a couple of quickies
On the left, Ford Consul and on the right, Cortina both from Oxford Diecast. Usual treatment is to spay them with matt varnish, turn the tyres down a bit, subtle weathering and fit occupants. (the Cortina is destined to be parked) I ground off the spotlights on the consul and both will be re-registed.
Cheers
Jim

Hi All
Drawing a close to my ford Cargo project with this ADL version
Needs a spot of weathering on the wheels then its done.
This brings my fleet of Cargo's to 7 which is enough for now
A good que for someone to bring a good RTP one out I think!
Cheers

Re: 00 scale lorries
Sometimes the stuff in the toybox needs a bit of a sympathic eye to see any hope for it. I present you..
The Matchbox Dodge Command and below after some hacking to the cab and marrying to a base toys chassis and modified box body
The picture below shows where the destruction was required!
Cheers

Hi All
Been tidying up a few loose ends of stuff thats been OMWB for a long time. So long that I forgot all about this one!
Another ford cargo combined out of a Corgi Cab, base toys chassis, unknown wheels and a body made using the Hornby Curtain sided van sides.
Cheers

Re: 00 scale lorries
Hi All
A few more lorries for you
Another Dodge commando from a modified matchbox cab and a Base toys Leyland FG
A Base toys Roadtrain converted to a Freighter - below is how the cab was chopped up
This was re-assembled then the back cut off to loose the small window. a spot of filler and some sanding and its done.
Cheers

Does the 'S' in your screen name stand for 'Surgeon'?

Cool thanks
Do you have links to photos o the original vehicles? Especially the British gas freight rover? Also I notice the rendering of the White arrow express logo is not quite right. The lower case 'e's should be at an odd angle and the alignment of the upper case lettering is very different.

HI Jim
Is there glazing with this kit, or will you have to improvise/not bother?
I'm looking forward to seeing how you rectify the problems, and I'm sure it'll look great once you finish.
