Some nice pics there Daz 8) Do you know where the last one was taken??

Here are a few of pictures of your non-typical NSE related stock...

Snowblower at Hoo Junction, around February 1991.

Image
The snowblower was normally stabled at Stewarts Lane at this time.

ADB968501 now works in Scotland for Network Rail and is based at Motherwell.
And another one, this time at home at Stewarts Lane 21/08/90

Image

Not exactly railway related but the livery is. Love this one

Image
This ex London Transport DMS class bus , Daimler CRL6 / Park Royal was purchased by Maidstone and District in August-1989 and used also by British Rail , Network South East sector . As a Bridge Maintenance vehicle .

Unfortunately I don't believe there is a kit (certainly no RTR) model of the snow blower. In fact I didn't even know it existed until earlier this week when someone posted a picture of one on a separate railway forum :?

There is however this which is a support van for the snow blower available in N gauge.

Hope this helps,

Are there still some at Eastleigh now? what a sorry sight this must be, once part of our everyday life's now just quietly rusting away in the sidings :(

At one point there were 5 73s in a row

Image
Can only see 4in my bad photography

Today there were only 2 that i could see

Eastleigh is a mini treasure trove of different locos today saw some 60s,66s,67s,73s, 47s(ex-thunderbirds repainted yellow), ex tube stock some teddy bear there is prob more but I am steam fan myself ;)

The mid hants railway has a few steam locos there but you can see them as they are in the main workshops which is a bit disappointing wouldnt mind seeing a Merchant Navy (Canadian Pacific) on my travels every day
