Cheers Chief, I think it looks pretty damn good!

Well folks, the madness has begun. The baseboard is built, measures about 6ft by 8ft. I know that's little compared to some on here, but it's all space/budget will allow. For now...

I couldn't resist getting the battlefleet out for a look-see at its new home!

The big diesels, back in their shed for the first time in nearly 20 years

This shed will eventually be the preserved steam shed, as the diesels will get a shiny new shed.
A view along the platforms. I'll be adding to the station as it's a bit small, but my original is a good basis to start from

So the cunning plan will be, a larger version of the current station, a large outer loop, a smaller inner loop, diesel shed, preserved steam shed/museum, coal drop and a bit of a fiddle yard. The plan may change, depending what goodies I pick up at Lincoln in a couple of weeks time!
And finally, some of the keener eyed of you may have noticed this little chap in some of the above photos.

He has been christened Bert the Hornbill by my better half (she's also been tasked with coming up with a name for the layout) and I thought it'd be fun to make sure he appears somewhere in at least one pic in each update I post here, sort of an internet forum version of Cuneo's mouse! Have fun looking for him
