You've made a very good job of the snowplough Richard. Not easy to get those angles right. Great work.

How i have eaten my words.
Looking at pics of 37709 around the late 80s i know she was in petrolumen sector not mainline unbranded as the model comes.
I said yesterday that i was to keep her in this livery but ego took over and to safe money decided at having a go at painting the petrolumen sector decals on not a easy task.In doing one side so far i will attempt the other side later and hopefully show pics.I have also give her a made up ripple lane torch plaque.

.. Would it not have been easier to print off the petroleum brandings onto decal paper? I f you haven't got any etc I would be willing to fire you a couple off for the cost of a stamp! :D
Other than that still continuing the excellent work I see.. Liking the plough, looks great for a scratchbuild.

Having booked the nite off as a birthday i had time in doing more grass laying and giving 37709 a good test run and found she had severe stalling features.
On closer inspection she had a connector loose and i also gave her extra pickups to the middle wheels one end and a good oil as was bone dry.
The result was very rewarding and did,nt stall once on slow speed run round the layout 10 times and now joins the fleet and thanks again for a free donation to a freind.

Nice snowplough.
What about 50035,? she rarely appears?
How come you get all theese locos free?
So if you have to reduce fleet what 50's would go? and what would stay?

Ian
looking at the state off play and a dim future the lot may still have to go.
As it stands i may well go of the scene here and truly believe the layout is in doubt.
Things dont look good out there and have been trying hard to find future employment but like many that try you just dont get a reply.
I have no plans to part with any 50s at the moment but if it comes to it the locos on the tender list staight away would be.
31296/47612 and 50021/50039.
I truly hope this does not have to happen and folk always say things can only get better, but believe we have had it as a nation and heading for a very bleak few years and feel for the younger generation.
The kind free donations of locos recieved can show what a generous country we can be.
It like the real world could be R.I.P old oak common.
