as you can see I purchased the airfix RAF airfield set, the spitfire and Bedford QL are built and painted, just awaiting transfers. I'm currently building the A.E.C. Matador.

I have also posted an image above of a spitfire kit i tried about 4 year ago. seeing how my latest spitfire turned out the old one is now dismantled awaiting restoration.

also, how come your layout name is written essentially 3 times in the title?

Larry looking good :D you just need a Warship now in the canal :D
I would lend you one of mine, but it would be way out of scale
Also i think your tractor needs some modern freight stock to haul, hmm lets see, have to see what can be done about that.

cos I thought i was being clever by explaing what QBR meant and the i put Quarry Bank because that is the particular station of the QBR my layout shows (its a fictitious preserved railway with other "off scene" stations)

yeah, its got to be modern compared to steam era but not modern to todays standards as to fit in with the preserved scene

Lovely looking Spitfire! Is it going to be hanging from the roof? Or on the ground? I love the new mountain, looks very realistic!
Cheers Seb

thanks :) I have just this minute finished the transfers on the spitfire and fuel lorries. at the moment I am going to display the spitfire and lorries together on the base provided in the kit as part of a WWII museum. I have another spitfire kit under "restoration" and a corgi(?) spitfire model which I am considering hanging. i suppose I can always alternate between the 3 :)

and yes, I love that mountain too

I had a slight problem with the brown lorry, ran out of paint :( so it is not as good as the others. just needs a little touch up though
