Hood-dale Main is a fictional large industrial biased town in the heart of the Yorkshire Ridings. It is a busy area with large amounts of main line traffic from all areas passing through with a good range of freight workings. Passenger services are also aplenty with HST's, railtours and dmu's stopping and passing. Mail trains are also in evidence to. (so expect to see multiple eras and regions!)
I'm primarily trying to model the late 80's early 90's but obviously with it being my layout there is allowances on the period with rather a good slice of artistic license thrown in! The layout is loft based and basically a round and round, 3 sides scenic and one as an extended fiddle yard. The layout is 17ft9" long and 13ft8" wide. varying from 2 to 4 ft deep. It is mainly on one level but the scenery does rise and fall around it to create scenic interest.
I am working on a rather large town area, industrial estate, motive power depot and station area which is about 7ft long.
Right, lets have some photos, thats what you're looking for isn't it? lol...

This is the view down the main scenic length of the loft apart from a few feet beneath the camera.

Looking down to the diesel shed and the small industrial units at the boards front edge.

The diesel depot.

Rear view of the shed from the town cutting.

A couple of 37's on shed.

Industrial units at the fornt looking across to the station which is currently in works.

Murder most foul in idyllic Hood-dale.

Possibly the suspect!

One of my beloved Vitrains 37's.

And the latest one....

A bit of mood lighting in the lower town area.

A quick overview of the lower town area in works..

So thats all I've got in the way of photos for now, more to follow shortly...
