Small update- no pics till tomorrow when the camera returns

The ballast is down in the whole TMD apart from the very end of the storage siding by the shed as I might make it overgrown. I also decided against putting a concrete yard in as the fuelling point looks good with ballast around it.

Next step'll be to keep up the balalsting for another few years until the mainline's done but the TMD is ready for some scenery

Got the camera back today so as promised here's a few pics.

Freightliner 66612 is refuelled.

Looking from above the shed and fuelling points.

Oil soaked track along the fuelling lines.

The sidings, almost empty of wagons.



EWS 60026 arrives to take on fuel.

The 60 is filled up!

Superb Work on the Ballasting and that mate, Love the Oil Stains - was it easy to make?

Thanks Adam, the oil stains were inspired by what Rhys did on his layout, or at least similar.
It was filler rubbed into the ballast to make it look soaked with oil (looked like snow when it wan't painted lol).
Then painted black and PVA over it for a shine.
Still not as good as Rhys' version though

Looks interesting, but I would have included a cross-over from the inner loop to the outer loop close to the station to gain access to the fueling depot.

Nice idea, would have made for less stopping and reversing in the TMD but a little late now

Coorrrr what an update! Someone get me some popcorn! Those oil stains look fantastic, I know what you mean by the filler looking like snow before you paint it! The GM Shed looks great! A lovely model there, looks very nice in a Freightliner livery but my favourite has to be that beautiful Steadfast (please excuse the Class 60 pun ).
