Axle hung motors anyone?

linky
Just need micro miniature gears and we are away.
 silly me, we'll need micro miniature fingers to put it together.

At least they are getting smaller nowadays! Didn't Bob Symes do a 47 in G scale with axle hung motors (and a proper diesel engine driving a generator!) back in the 70s but struggled to get a small enough motor with enough torque?
