Walthers new servo point motor

Postby TimberSurf » Mon Apr 09, 2018 11:37 pm

I have investigated most options of point motors for my web page and for my own benefit and came to the conclusion that servo's are the way to go.
Although Peco have brought one out and several manufacturers have pcb' to drive them now from DCC, there is still little in the way of bracketry. (so I designed and made my own)
Just out is a new offering, though I doubt it is available other than in the US at the moment.

Looks like they have gone out of their way to make a tiny servo as big as a tortoise!

There are a few servo motor offerings available now, most are quite similar, but some are better designed for the task of being point motors.

Well, if one knows why one might need 21 wires on a point motor you probably need this machine.

I once got up to 9, but I'm largely heading the other way: right down to zero in some cases.
